Re.dis Interiors: La Volte Restaurant is located in the business center of Samara, Russia. The restaurant specializes in French cuisine and offers guests a comfort food format — clear and simple food for all meals. It was founded by a group of like-minded people from Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod.

The interior designers Polina Kachinskaya and Ekaterina Petrova decided to abandon the direct interpretation of the French style and focus on the atmosphere and tactility. They aimed to create the interior to reflect the concept of the kitchen — to be casual, but at the same time cozy and enveloping, sophisticated, but not too formal. The interior is made in a warm monochrome color scheme, using natural materials. The walls are decorated with oak veneer and the flooring is engineered wood.

Stainless steel is used as an accent in the finishing materials and furniture. Being cold in its essence, it contrasts with warm wood and soft fabrics, and also brings a touch of urbanism, echoing the landscape outside the window. Tables and stainless steel pendant lights are made to the designers' sketches. The combinations of textures and their tactile qualities create a special sensorial experience for guests. Sandstone-like columns, textured fabrics, wooden surfaces — everything in the interior is enjoyable to touch.

In the process of engineering the designers devoted particular attention to the lighting. Warm spotlights are directed individually to each table, while the common area and passageways are lit minimally. This creates an intimate atmosphere for each company with a rather dense seating of the restaurant - 70-80 guests. The restaurant team was on the hunt for vintage tableware and cutlery with unique cutlery holders. Porcelain dishes in a naive French style, reflecting the specificity of comfortable home cooking. The main wishes for the layout were: an open kitchen, a chef's table, a dedicated bar area and a large wine fridge. All this was conveniently placed and even made an integral part of the hall.
