FMA: Located in Morelia, Michoacán, Hãbico emerges as a wellness center that features curved walls and soft colors, offering a holistic refuge for physical and emotional health. This space was thoughtfully designed to generate a sensorial experience, which integrates movement, serenity, and functionality together.

Set on the upper floor of a commercial building, this project occupies a single- story premise facing a busy street -transformed by urban strategies that turned its median strip into a linear park-. Therefore, Hãbico integrates into a context that promotes community and wellness, reflecting the core values of the project.

From the first approach, we sought for a detailed design, and closely collaborated with a graphic and visual identity local studio to enhance the branding proposal, which integrates design elements that highlights its unique identity. Signage and bespoke furniture, not only has a function purpose, but also becomes part of the architecture, creating a visual and spatial harmony that embodies mindfulness and simplicity.

The 165-square-metre space is developed across a square-floor plan, hosting four main areas: reception, food station, workout area, and changing rooms. Upon entering the reception area, a circular stainless steel front desk receives the users, and promotes a fluid transition towards the rest of the program. This area is the focal point of the project and is perceived as an intimate lounge.

Next to the lobby, a narrow food station is carefully embedded into the space geometry. To the bottom, the changing rooms and bathrooms are subtly enclosed by two curved walls. While the entire wellness hub is clad in creamy tones with red details, the workout area is completely black, highlighted by an oval ceiling-lighting that evokes movement.

We aimed to create a harmonious environment that conveys introspection and serenity, avoiding overblown expressions. Following this, the interior design stands out for the use of organic shapes, sober materials, and a neutral color palette that renders the walls, to achieve a cozy and timeless atmosphere, which inspires and nurtures the guests.

The curves, like a continuous flow, evoke the dynamism of the human body and the energy that moves through it during exercise, breaking away from traditional lines to convey a sense of continuity and balance. This architectural language invites users to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with themselves in a welcoming environment, where a warm color palette, soft textures, and lighting design that highlights organic shapes come together to amplify the sense of well-being.

Hābico is more than just a place to train; it is a sanctuary designed to transform body and mind through physical dynamics and music, generating a holisticexperience that goes beyond the conventional. It is a space for those seeking health, balance, and a transformation in an increasingly fast-paced world.
