Veliz Arquitecto: “Valmara” is not just a cabin or a villa, it is a floating sanctuary that honors the history of ancient vessels, transforming them into a new destination for rest and contemplation. Inspired by the rebirth of ships that once sailed the oceans, this structure elevated on stilts captures the essence of navigation, sustainability and connection with nature.

Conceptual Identity

The name Valmara arises from the fusion of Valhalla, the mythical Viking paradise, and Sea, the element that defines the life of these vessels. This refuge not only preserves the history of the ships, but gives them a second life, turning them into a unique architectural work, full of symbolism and sensorial experiences.

Architectural Narrative

Each element of Valmara tells a story: Structure with recycled vessels, where the wood of ancient ships is reborn as a habitable space. Elevation on stilts with tensioners, evoking the stability and balance of a ship anchored in calm. Anchors and nautical ropes integrated into the design as a memory of their previous life on the high seas. Panoramic glass windows, capturing the immensity of the sea and natural light. Glass tub with views to the outside, an experience of contemplation in a space of tranquility. Terrace at the top with hammocks, the highest point of the refuge, offering a direct connection with the sky and the horizon.

Valmara Experience

Valmara is more than a destination, it is an introspective journey where nature, design and history converge. Its spaces are designed so that the guest feels the lightness of the sea, the warmth of wood and the eternity of ships that find a new purpose.

Here, each sunrise is a new departure and each sunset, a safe harbor for the traveling soul.
