In the constant search for a balance between indoor and outdoor life, this architectural project was born, which not only satisfies the functional needs of its inhabitants but also establishes a deep dialogue with nature and the philosophy of space.
Located in the city of Colima, the residence stands on a privileged plot of land that offers stunning views of the iconic Colima Volcano to the north and the city to the south. This single-family residence makes the most of its specific location at the foot of a golf course, allowing the main views to be oriented towards large green areas and, at some points, towards the majestic volcano. The climate in this area, noticeably cooler than the rest of the city thanks to its altitude and the abundance of green soils, provides an ideal setting for a home that seeks to connect deeply with its surroundings. The location of this house not only offers a more pleasant temperature but also views of open areas and lush vegetation that frame the daily lives of its inhabitants.
The overall concept of the residence combines clear volumetry, achieving a balance between simplicity and grandeur. The materiality of the house, with the use of wood, concrete and stone, reflects a natural and welcoming character, harmoniously integrating with the surrounding landscape. This choice of materials not only brings warmth and naturalness, but also reinforces the sustainability of the project, taking advantage of local resources both in labor and materials.

Skylights and precise entrances of sunlight highlight specific areas of the home, avoiding direct sunlight, but accentuating natural surfaces such as stone walls and exposed concrete. This approach not only fulfills a practical function but also adds an aesthetic and emotional value to the space, creating atmospheres that change with the passing of the day.
The house was designed to satisfy the clients' desire to maintain a clear separation between the interior and exterior life of the house, while maximizing contact with the natural environment. For this reason, an imposing double height was chosen in the daily living area that offers a continuous view of the open countryside and the trees in the garden. This project is a constructed poem, a silent song to the union of the human being with his environment. Every corner, every material, every beam of light is meticulously orchestrated to arouse a deep and contemplative connection, where the murmur of nature and the stillness of the home intertwine in a symphony of harmony and peace.
