The Wellbeing Influencer's Organic Haven in Plovdiv.
In the heart of Plovdiv, a bustling city in Bulgaria known for its rich history and vibrant art scene, a harmonious fusion of wellness and design has come to life at the hands of a visionary architect Eva Popnedeleva and a wellness influencer Liliyana Angelova with a passion for organic living. The project, anchored in the philosophy of holistic wellbeing creating a sanctuary that embodies health, beauty, and sustainability.
At the forefront of the design is the seamless integration of the client's ethos as an influencer in the fields of wellbeing, healthy lifestyle, organic foods, and natural cosmetics. The client sought to craft a space that not only reflected her values but also served as a canvas for her creative endeavours. Central to the concept is the careful selection of materials that uphold the principles of organic living. Every element has been thoughtfully chosen creating a space that nurtures both the physical and emotional well-being of its inhabitants.
Through large windows looking towards all seven hills of Plovdiv, the interior design establishes a strong connection to the natural world. The windows acts as “Live paintings“ of the city which changes throughout the seasons. This connection has been shown to reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and foster a sense of calm and tranquillity, all of which are essential components of holistic well-being.
Natural light floods the interior, illuminating the textures and hues of the materials, while promoting a sense of openness and vitality. By opting for organic materials, such as natural wood, stone and cotton, Eva Popnedeleva and Lilyana Angelova have eliminated the presence of harmful chemicals and toxins that are often found in synthetic materials. This decision not only safeguards the indoor air quality but also promotes a healthier living environment, free from harmful off-gassing and pollutants.
Incorporating breathable materials, such as kourassanit, allows for better air circulation and moisture control within the space. This helps to regulate indoor humidity levels, prevent mold and mildew growth, and create a refreshing and comfortable atmosphere that promotes respiratory health and overall well-being. The materials selected for the interior are also chosen for their self-cleaning properties, reducing the need for harsh chemical cleaners that can be detrimental to both human health and the environment.
A key highlight of the design is the walk-in wardrobe area, envisioned as a boutique space where the influencer can showcase her curated collection of clothing and film her wellness cosmetics videos. Here, every detail has been meticulously planned to create a stylish yet functional setting. The bespoke fittings and custom storage solutions not only enhance the aesthetics of the space but also optimize its use for both work and relaxation.
In conclusion, Eva Popnedeleva’s interior design project prioritizes health, beauty, and sustainability. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this project promotes the transformative power of design in fostering a holistic lifestyle. It challenges us to rethink our relationship with our living spaces and to consider the impact of our surroundings on our well-being.
The selection of materials in this project plays a pivotal role in embodying the principles of holistic lifestyle, as it creates an environment that harmonizes with the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the inhabitants' well-being.
