Roofs are one of the most important parts of a house, as they protect not only the structure itself but also everything inside it. As such, roof maintenance is essential for preserving the integrity of a home and ensuring that its occupants can remain safe and comfortable.
Many homeowners tend to overlook their roofs; they may think that as long as it looks fine, there is no need to think about repairs or replacements. However, delaying necessary repairs can lead to costly and dangerous consequences.

The form was inspired by the sloping site and how we could create a bold point of difference on a site that sat far beneath the street level. We aimed to perch the building within the landscape, like a rock juxtaposed in nature and creating a monolithic street presence.

Located in Merida, Yucatan, Caustic House is a tiny house with a cozy living, outdoor kitchen, and private showroom. The swimming lane passes through entire house refreshing the social area, the dynamic pattern facade imitates the effect of caustic water with the arrangement of brick.
