This lighthouse is a striking symbol of the Geneva on lake Leman’s the waterfront landscape in continuity with the new identity of the edges of the lake.

2.   Luminous:

In addition to the primary function of a lighthouse, the LEMANTIQUE concept offers several lights allowing a dialogue with the jet of water and the Pâquis lighthouse by means of colored light shows during exceptional events.

3.   Green / Vegetal:

The lighthouse, dressed in a green mantle, becomes a vertical green setting echoing the great Geneva landscape. This vegetal mantle will mainly consist of native plant species in order to preserve local biodiversity. The mantle plants will participate in the landscaping of the dike.

4.   Sustainable Development and Eco responsible:

The vegetation cover will participate in the recovery of rainwater, the transparent photovoltaic panels on the facade will partly generate the energy consumed by the lighthouse.

In April 2022, the Socité Nautique de Geneve will present the loreate project of the second round at an exhibition to be held in Geneva.
