Veliz Arquitecto: Sivri is a seagull that is part of the Aboriginal culture's dream time.  Sivri taught the first humans the gift and joy of dancing, the drum, the music and the dances.  Sivri is an important myth, as the Aboriginal people use songs to relive the time of dreams. 

Our studio has overhauled a 1990s bungalow near Czech capital Prague, transforming an interior that once seemed small and cramped into one that feels bright and spacious. Complicated roof structure of the building is looking little bit dated from the outside. But from the inside it creates very special space.

The 120 m² apartment inserted in a privileged location in Curitiba, in front of Praça da Espanha, was chosen by the couple of doctors who wanted a practical and convenient home for their intense work routine and also to host their children who live abroad when they returned to Brazil, which takes place at least twice a year.

The continuing question mark for this project was storage space. The principals, a multi-species family made up of a woman and hers, two of her dogs, had to move from a larger house to an apartment of 40m² interior and 15m² exterior as permanent residence.

The apartment is located in a new building in the Jizera Mountains. The apartment is on the ground floor of the house, so it is directly physically and visually connected to the surrounding landscape. The apartment is entered from the second floor through a small hallway, which connects to a double staircase.

75 square meters, the center of the Eixample district in Barcelona, first floor with an elevator. The property that was intended for sale was presented to the studio half-naked with exposed concrete walls, just the place to start imagining.

This project is a renovation project for an apartment in La Condesa, the hip and trendy area of Mexico City. This apartment is located in a building from 1970. The original apartment looked very old, it did not have well-defined spaces, was kind of dark and somehow sad. With this redesign, the interior distribution of the space was changed and the materials were modified.
