The only thing we can be sure of in life is change.  It is worth keeping a close eye on the world around us to get a better understanding of the prospects ahead of us and to prepare for the new. In the latest project Jinke City Light, Qionglai Sales Center & Model Room, AOD creates the lively epitome of community life with the concept of urban life. Located in the core area of Qionglai New town, with completed infrastructure, the designer endeavors to extend the upper classes’ ultimate expectation for future life and construct fine modern residence through diversified scene experience and young community atmosphere.

Designed on a small 622 m² corner plot of a residential villa layout, Mirai is a contextual house in response to the hot desert climate of Rajasthan, India. Based on the location, the southern & eastern sides have minimum open space, with adjacent villas on those sides planned for development in the future.

Opened in 798 Art Zone, Beijing in 2009, PIFO GALLERY is one of the earliest major art intuitions in China dedicated to advancing the research and development of abstract art. After more than a decade of operation, the owner of the gallery invited ARCHSTUDIO to renovate the space, to improve its functions and adapt to future development demands.

Designed by Seattle-based architecture firm Wittman Estes, the Yo-Ju Courtyard House is located in Clyde Hill, Washington (a suburb of Seattle). Through a series of thresholds from opaque to transparent, Yo-Ju Courtyard House, which means “secluded living” in Mandarin Chinese, embraces the future of suburban density by establishing a private experience despite being adjacent to a busy arterial. Wittman Estes provided architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture for the project.

Global warming is inevitable.. The most effective solution to prevent it would be the change in human behavior. However, such a mental shift alone wouldn’t be enough at the stage we are on now. We cannot move on without fixing the problems caused in the past. We cannot move on without knowing how to deal with the problems of the future. That is why the crucial sphere that has to be prioritized is Science. Maybe if we could engage more people to do science could help humankind? If only we could propose a new typology of Research Centers.

The traditional approach to organizing office space, used by most design studios today, is becoming less relevant as offices aim to create a working environment that solves current business problems. At the end of 2022, ZIKZAK Architects came up with a new design methodology, which includes a mix of designer and screenwriter approaches, creating a movie plot of the future office life.
