Sama Hajati: Tucked deep within a lush evergreen forest and embraced by a dramatic mountainous landscape, The Forest Crescent Retreat is a visionary example of how contemporary architecture can harmonize with untamed nature. Designed as a high-end eco-tourism destination, this resort redefines hospitality by offering an immersive, contemplative living experience that connects visitors directly to the natural world.
The design features a series of crescent and elliptical structures nestled along a reflective stream and surrounded by dense vegetation. These sculptural forms, with stone-clad curved shells and expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing, blur the boundaries between architecture and landscape. Transparency becomes a vital design language—allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the interiors while offering uninterrupted panoramic views of the forest and water features.
A key element of the project is its fluid integration into the topography. Curved stone walkways, soft landscape transitions, and native plantings guide guests gently through the property. The green roofs and organic contours echo the surrounding terrain, reducing visual impact while enhancing insulation and biodiversity.
At night, the retreat transforms into a constellation of softly lit forms—glowing structures reflected in calm waters, evoking tranquility and poetic elegance. The warm ambient lighting, subtle material palette, and biophilic design principles work together to create a serene, sensory-rich atmosphere.
More than a place to stay, The Forest Crescent Retreat is a spatial narrative—an architectural homage to nature that invites travelers to slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover a profound sense of connection to the environment.
