Located in the heart of Pontresina, Switzerland, this boutique property stands out as a new landmark in the Alps, offering a refined yet minimalist approach to modern luxury. Designed by the acclaimed architect Gion A. Caminada, the hotel seamlessly integrates traditional materials and craftsmanship with innovative design, creating a space that honors its alpine surroundings while offering a fresh and sophisticated take on hospitality.

The hotel’s culinary concept is equally impressive, combining regional ingredients with bold flavors and contemporary food trends. A highlight of Maistra 160 is its exceptional spa, which spans two levels and offers a holistic wellness experience that draws from the elements of nature. The spa includes a central atrium with an open fire, an outdoor warm water pool, bio and Finnish saunas, a large basalt steam bath, and a relaxation room complete with a sun deck. Yoga, fitness, and gymnastics rooms complement the spa’s offerings, allowing guests to immerse themselves in a rejuvenating environment where the natural elements of heat, cold, water, fire, stone, air, and earth come together to create harmony and balance.
At the heart of Maistra 160’s exceptional hospitality are its hosts, Irene and Martin Müller. As a well-established team for many years, the hotelier couple have always focused on hospitality and the joy of working with people, be that guests, employees, or partners. Stations such as the Hotel Waldhaus in Sils, where they worked in management positions for 15 years, have left their mark on them. They have also managed the Parkhotel Bellevue in Adelboden and the Hotel Castell in Zuoz. Irene and Martin Müller have been helping to shape Hotel Maistra 160 since October 2022.
More than just a place to stay, Maistra 160 is a destination where architecture, nature, and human connection intertwine to offer an unforgettable alpine experience.
