HVYLYA design has completed the interior design for GxBar, a renowned Ukrainian beauty brand's newest location in Barcelona. Situated at 21 Av. de Sarrià, near the bustling Diagonal street, the 98 m² space blends the local charm of Barcelona with the unique identity of the brand. The interior design draws inspiration from the city's essence: the sandy tones of historic facades, soft textures, and the warm, vibrant hues of the Mediterranean form the foundation of the color palette. Beige tones are paired with rich blue accents and metallic finishes, creating a contemporary yet inviting atmosphere.
Special attention was given to the space's zoning to meet its functional requirements. The front area, facing the street, is dynamic and open, featuring a reception desk, manicure and makeup stations, and a hairstyling zone. Display windows are partially covered to ensure client privacy while maintaining a visually engaging and enticing interior for passersby. Toward the back, more private areas are dedicated to pedicures, facial treatments, and relaxation. A soundproof skincare room, designed with a subdued color palette and tactile surfaces, ensures a serene and harmonious experience for visitors.
Each zone is enhanced with custom furniture and distinctive decorative elements, adding character to the design. In the makeup area, the Oito mirror by Vania Voitovych and Sled chairs by Vlad Tolochko, crafted by the 4 Corners furniture factory, introduce modern design statements. The pedicure zone is equipped with recliner chairs designed for ultimate client comfort, evoking the ambiance of a home theater. The reception and skincare areas feature walls and ceilings coated with warm, sandy-toned decorative plaster, offering a cozy feel that contrasts harmoniously with deep blue accents. Other areas are painted in the same warm, muted tones to maintain the cohesive spatial concept.
This project seamlessly integrates elements of Spanish architecture and local ambiance into the brand's signature aesthetic. It demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, a focus on client comfort, and a commitment to creating a space that inspires and leaves a lasting impression.
