Mahla Abbasnezhad: "Desert Glow" is an eco-lodge located in the heart of the Yazd Desert, one of the most unique and beautiful natural regions in Iran. The main goal of this project is to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for guests, offering both the tranquility of the desert landscape and the beauty of Iranian architecture. The eco-lodge is designed with inspiration from traditional Yazd architecture, using natural materials such as mudbrick, clay, and stone, blending seamlessly with the surrounding environment. At the same time, modern technologies are incorporated to ensure comfort and convenience for the guests.
The core structure of the complex includes several cottages and guest rooms arranged around a central courtyard with a water fountain. The central courtyard serves as a communal space for relaxation, decorated with lush gardens and local trees. This open and peaceful space provides guests with an opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse themselves in nature.
Given that Yazd's desert is known for its dry and unique climate, the design incorporates traditional architectural techniques such as wind catchers (badgirs) and natural ventilation systems for cooling. The eco-lodge strives to create a balance between the natural beauty of the desert, traditional architecture, and modern comforts, ensuring that guests have a memorable and pleasant stay in the heart of the desert.
"Desert Glow" is not just an accommodation but a journey into the heart of Iran’s culture and nature. With a focus on environmental sustainability and respect for tradition, this project offers a place where guests can enjoy cultural experiences, local architecture, and modern comforts. Our goal is to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience, deeply connected to nature and Iranian culture.
