The Frequency 2.0 collection, inspired by the exploration of sound frequencies, will be exhibited from April 8 to 13, 2025, in the space dedicated to emerging young designers.

The re-edition of Mexican designer Sebastián Ángeles’ Frequency 2.0 collection marks a new phase in his creative exploration of the relationship between sound and matter. Through this conceptual and material exercise, the collection transforms sound waves into unique design pieces, merging art, well-being, and functionality. Frequency 2.0 will be presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, within the prestigious SaloneSatellite section, from April 8 to 13, 2025. This event, a key platform for emerging designers, has established itself as a launchpad for innovation, new technologies, and trends in industrial, furniture, and interior design.

The collection consists of four limited-edition objects: a lounge chair, a lamp, a chair, and a side table, each inspired by sound frequencies related to healing. Designed to evoke the resonance of these frequencies, the pieces combine carefully selected forms and materials. Aluminum, chosen for its tactile properties and ability to generate subtle resonances, is the central material of the collection, providing an enriching sensory experience for those who observe and interact with the pieces.

The 432HZ Lounge Chair is inspired by the 432 Hz frequency, known for its ability to balance body and mind. With a three-legged structure symbolizing harmony, its ergonomic design embraces the user, providing a sensation of weightlessness. The texture of the aluminum, along with its polished finish, enriches the sensory experience, as the metal emits a subtle vibration upon contact, evoking the resonance of sound waves.

The 741HZ Lamp interprets the 741 Hz frequency, associated with purity and mental clarity. Its metal shade, shaped like an inverted bell, redirects light evenly, generating an enveloping glow that conveys serenity. The aluminum structure and its meticulously crafted finish reflect light, creating cymatic patterns that reinforce the connection between sound, light, and well-being.

Meanwhile, the 396HZ Chair, inspired by the 396 Hz frequency, aims to free the user from fear and guilt. Its curved and ergonomic design adapts to the body’s natural contours, fostering comfort and freedom. The chair’s complex three-legged structure visually symbolizes the frequency through sound waves, inviting contemplation and relaxation.

Finally, the 528HZ Side Table, inspired by the 528 Hz frequency, symbolizes transformation and healing. Its design, featuring concave shapes and undulating surfaces, reflects balance and emotional harmony. The polished aluminum finish softly captures light, reinforcing the sense of serenity and well-being the table conveys.

The creative process of Frequency 2.0 fuses cutting-edge technology with artisanal tradition. Sebastián Ángeles has used sound visualizers to graphically record sound waves, transforming them into formal patterns materialized in each object. This experimental approach is complemented by the richness of Mexican metallurgy, whose casting methods date back to pre-Hispanic times.

Beyond being a furniture collection, Frequency 2.0 is a deep exploration of the interaction between design, sensory perception, and well-being, inviting users to experience an emotional and visual dialogue through each piece.
