Located in central Moscow, this elegant 180 sqm apartment is home to a Chinese businessman, his wife, and their two daughters. The family moved away from a stark, white interior to a richer and deeper color scheme with the help of interior designer Ekaterina Spinelli. They wanted their new home to feel like a luxury hotel, a place the designer describes as "a well-organized luxury interior without visual noise, where every joint and edge is perfect, and everything is in its place."

The architectural design of the apartment plays a pivotal role, with expansive panoramic windows that infuse the living spaces with natural light, enhancing the sense of openness. The living area, defined by its minimalist decor and smooth transitions into the kitchen through sleek sliding doors, epitomizes the essence of upscale hotel living. Here, the shelving — crafted from elegant ash and oak veneer — and a statement steam fireplace that both mesmerizes and moisturizes, set a refined tone. Adjacent to this, a classic Swiss coffee table from the AM Vintage Gallery, crowned with a Josef Inwald Bohemian glass dish from the 1930s, adds a historical touch.

Attention to detail continues in the kitchen, where craftsmanship shines through in the selection of premium veneer and artisanal French door handles. The bespoke kitchen table, designed by Spinelli herself, features a textured veneer topped with radiant red lacquer, complemented by rejuvenated vintage chairs by Swiss architect Robert Haussmann, now dressed in blue textile.

The master suite exemplifies thoughtful design, with natural sisal wallpaper by Yana Svetlova and tinted oak panels creating a backdrop of subtle elegance. The glass-fronted wardrobes and an upholstered bed in deep blue velvet from De le Cuona, detailed with durable leather in wear-prone areas, reflect Spinelli's practical yet stylish approach.

Ekaterina Spinelli's design philosophy embraces Eastern motifs, resonating deeply with the family's heritage and seamlessly integrating into the overall aesthetic. This, combined with a minimalist Zen approach, aligns perfectly with the family's desire for an environment that feels both globally inspired and intimately personal. "Integrating Eastern motifs and Zen minimalism reflects not just the client's origins but also our commitment to delivering a global yet personalized living experience," concludes Ekaterina Spinelli, underscoring the bespoke nature of this apartment.
