Stacked Dwelling is a weekend house in Igatpuri, standing on a compact 360 sq m linear plot. The narrative unfolds against the majestic backdrop of the Sahyadris. The name is derived from the organisational strategy which orchestrates the interior spaces as two small houses placed on a platform, albeit cohesive in design vocabulary.

Saari Mois (the Sarskaya Grange) is the name of an ancient estate, gifted by Peter the Great to the future empress Catherine I in 1710, on which by the time of Catherine II had been built one of Europe’s most beautiful park residences of the Baroque period - Tsarskoe Selo.

This residence rests on a spectacular lot at the base of the iconic Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona, offering our firm a wide range of design latitude. This part of the Southwest offers residents a ‘resort’ climate for much of the year and our clients wanted the property to fully embody al fresco living.
