Casa Houlpoch is an old Yucatecan house from the end of the last century that gets its name from a snake from the region that regularly “visited” the property's ruins.

These ten houses are part of a masterplan for 500 dwellings and a park by the Architecten Cie, called 'Het Funen, Hidden Delights'. The triangular site is located between the historic center and the recently redeveloped harbor area in the east of Amsterdam, a former parking lot for towed cars.

The design brief was to build a setting, grounded with texture and colour imbibing a calm and minimalistic environment. At first glance the four vertically stacked triangular planes of concrete which form the front facade defines this concrete home in Indore, India. The 5800sqft suburban home sits in a plot size of 2400 sq ft.

An eccentric interior with industrial, modern, and minimalistic features achieves a balance between absolutely divergent styles and shapes. Keeping the palette tightly focused on natural elements, greenery appears throughout the large windows from the great forest outside creating a calm and sophisticated ambiance for the whole space.

Located in the central lot of Zac Chandon-République Gennevilliers, the 91-unit mixed-housing project faces the park. The orthogonal plan adopts a relatively simple and sober organization that gives a particular identity to the place, dividing the project into six volumes of different heights, linked together by glass walkways.

The common critique of a house has been of a dead narrow passage connecting different spaces. Hence we hoped to create spaces that hold social relationships of the family and the movement relationship between body and space. Here the house has been articulated in a way that the passage has become a transition from one space to another space. It has been looked at as a journey in itself, where space expands and contracts as one moves through it.

Located in Leça da Palmeira and attentive to the dialogue with the organic fabrics that remain from an inherited rurality, further assimilated by the city, ‘Tower 15 & 1’ is a combined urban and landscaping operation with public spaces taking over the ground floor for use as retail and leisure for residents and visitors alike.
