The 2022 LIT Lighting Design Awards is now accepting entries into its two major categories, Lighting Product Design and Lighting Design. It welcomes submissions from professional, emerging designers and students until the 22nd of October 2022, the program promises to attract entries from some of the most forward creative lighting firms and independent designers from all around the world!

Hale Nukumoi is the quintessential Hawaiian beach retreat: open and casual—the opposite of fussy. Set amidst mature palm trees, the complex is ready-made for family and friends. Composed of a main house and guest house, the site features a large yard and pool, as well as beach access. An indoor/outdoor lifestyle is exemplified by the home’s airy design: large sliding doors and walls, a custom two-story rainscreen, and layered plantings balance connections to nature with privacy.

To introduce this meeting of culture, aoe created a Cultural Exchange City Reception Center in the city where it all begun. The marriage of the Italian and Sino style was at the heart of the project to illustrate the cultural mix and was adapted to merge the structure and its surrounding. 

LIGHT SPACE LIFE: Architects in Conversation will be hosted at the Miami Centre for Architecture & Design on Thursday, June 9 at 6 PM.  SAOTA Principal Mark Bullivant and Raymond Jungles, founder of Miami-based Landscape Architecture firm Raymond Jungles, Inc will share insights into three core design themes - LIGHT, SPACE and LIFE - and how these values play an integral role in both building design and landscape architecture.
