The Athletes' Village, designed for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, exemplifies the intersection of sustainability and innovation in urban architecture. Covering an area of 52 hectares north of Paris, the Village housed athletes from various nations and will soon be transformed into a new neighborhood, ensuring a lasting legacy for the city, with the capacity to accommodate up to 12,000 residents and workers in the region between Saint-Denis, Saint Ouen, and L’Île-Saint-Denis.

The use of Archicad, software developed by Graphisoft, was crucial for the execution of this project. According to the architects from CoBe Architecture & Paysage, the challenge was to create infrastructure that met the temporary demands of the games while preparing for a transition to a residential and commercial environment. The software enabled effective planning and clear visualization of the structures, allowing for detailed analysis of the parts that would be preserved and those that would be remodeled.

The Renovation Filters in Archicad, utilized during the design phase, are tools that allow architects to visualize and manage different stages over time. They facilitate the identification of building elements that will be preserved, demolished, or remodeled in various phases of development, especially in renovation or adaptive reuse projects. The use of these resources was fundamental to organizing the stages of the Athletes' Village and optimizing the planning process, ensuring the implementation of necessary changes.

The completion of the project serves as an example of how the integration of modeling technology and architectural expertise can create spaces that benefit both large-scale events and the everyday life of the city.
