9 Russian consortia were created.

Applications were received from 14 individual applicants.

Geographic coverage:

Every second foreign application is from a BRICS country (Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, China, UAE and South Africa).

5 applications are from China — a record for foreign countries.

Europe: Italy — 3, Serbia — 1.

North America: Mexico — 1.

“Such broad coverage and diverse geography of participants confirm that Sirius today is the place where all conditions are being created to develop the creative potential and professional growth of not only children and young people who have shown their talents in science, technology, art and sports from all regions of the Russian Federation, but also of young architects and designers, and their mentors from all over the world,” – said Elena Shmelyova, Chair of the Council of the Federal Territory of Sirius, Talent and Success Educational Foundation, summing up the invitation campaign.

Sergei Georgievskii, co-founder and chair of the Expert Council of Agency for Strategic Development “CENTER”, commented on the results of the qualifying stage: “Almost 140 organizations from two dozen countries is an excellent result for our project. The participation of leaders of world architecture and urban planning, as well as the number of international consortia, is especially appreciated. This diverse lineup of participants ensures that the final decisions will set new standards in the field of master planning”.

On June 25, the jury will select six finalists for whom an orientation seminar will be organized on the project site, as well as consultations with representatives of the federal territory and the competition operator.

When selecting the finalists, the jury will also consider the opinions and proposals of the participants of the “Future of Cities” conference, which will be held on the federal territory and bring together young scientists from all over Russia, representing such areas as architecture, urban planning, ecology, biology and information technology.

The results of the competition will be summed up on November 13, and the winner will be able to participate in the direct implementation of their ideas together with the federal territory.

The master plan should determine the key scenarios for spatial organization and functional development of two plots of 19.4 and 23.1 hectares. The construction of specialized and residential real estate and the development of high-tech medicine focused on combating oncological diseases and promoting healthy longevity are planned for the first district. On the other plot, it is planned to build the second phase of the scientific and technological campus of Sirius University, as well as to create a high-tech district with laboratories, engineering infrastructure, data centers, and experimental production sites, including for the development of resource-saving energy, smart transport (including autonomous) and telecommunication systems, and technologies for safe storage and processing of information.

Sirius Federal Territory

It is a unique platform for the implementation of innovative scientific and technological projects. The main focus of its socio-economic development strategy is the creation of favorable conditions for attracting developers, technology companies, entrepreneurs, professional artists, and athletes to the federal territory. This requires the creation of a competitive environment that ensures a high quality of life and stimulates active creative and scientific activity.
