The Ukrainian-German company LEMKI Robotix and Iscale3D has made a revolutionary breakthrough in large-scale 3D printing by creating DISCOVER 3D, a mobile home printed from an eco-friendly composite material consisting of recycled polypropylene (7400 bottles) with the addition of fiberglass. This is the FGF (Fused Granulat Fabrication) printing technology. The company has developed its own equipment based on the KUKA robotic system and unique software for full control of preparation and printing. The printable area of thedevice reaches 3200 mm x 3200 mm x 8000 mm, which allows for the creation of large-scale objects with high precision and strength DISCOVER 3Dimpresses with its environmental friendliness, strength, lightness, and ease oftransportation, offering an innovative approach to mobile housing that can be 80% recycled.
The project also provides for the possibility of mass production, making sustainable business a reality. The use of composites can significantly reduce production costs and time, making such homes more affordable for consumers.
LEMKI Robotix and Iscale3D aimed not only to demonstrate the capabilities of 3D printing technology, but also to make a full-fledged functional prototype that would be comfortable for the consumer and suitable for mass production.
DISCOVER 3D is equipped with autonomous batteries with the ability to connect solar panels, which ensures complete autonomy. As a full-fledged “smart home”, it has all the sensors to monitor key parameters to control temperature, water level, battery charge, and other parameters.
This approach makes it possible to create mobile homes for any climate zone.
The model is designed for a family of three who appreciate modern technology and comfortable outdoor recreation. Thanks to the precision of 3D printing, all structural details are perfectly suited to any conditions and provide excellent thermal insulation.
LEMKI Robotix plans to expand its 3D printing technology to make motorhomes available to a wider range of consumers, launch mass production, and develop solutions for sustainable living in harmony withnature.
