3K Architects: A large plot of land in a small village in the heart of the Highlands has given rise to a very traditional, large estate that fits into the surrounding beautiful countryside. The buildings of the farmhouse are arranged to form a traditional rural development. The relative composition of the house and barn creates a semi-closed courtyard and naturally defines the individual garden zones. Due to the large spatial requirements, the dwelling house itself has been divided into two masses so that its scale does not disturb the surroundings. The barn is designed in the traditional concept with a usable loft. Traditional materials such as timber, stone and stucco have been designed. The icing on the cake of the whole homestead is the designed pond in close proximity to the house. The view from the porch of the spacious living room of the pond and the nearby forest will certainly not be lost on the owners.
