The Greenbrier Resort, which is located in West Virginia's scenic Allegheny Mountains, is the pinnacle of elegant architecture and traditional sophistication. A Storied Past

In 1910, the building was purchased by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, which then built additional amenities, the bath wing, and the 250-room hotel. The railroad also built a golf course, which is not known as “The Old White TPC”.
The hotel then served the military, being a hospital and a relocation center for Axis diplomats. The resort filed for bankruptcy in 2009 and was then purchased by the Justice family of WV. The family is still in charge of the resort as of 2024.
