Prefect of the Seine from 1853 to 1870, Baron Haussmann directed the transformations of Paris during the Second Empire under the aegis of Napoleon III, by deepening the vast renovation plan established by the Simeon commission. The transformations are such that we speak of "Haussmannian" buildings for the many buildings built along the wide avenues cut through in Paris under his responsibility.

The Manta Rays project is thus built 100% in bio-based materials, it is easily removable and reassemblable like a giant meccano, to better respect the Balinese site in which it is set up. In this biomimetic approach, using a minimum of material, mixing bamboo structure and organic jute fabric, this Tensile Membrane construction achieves architectural biophilic and curvature shapes, not achievable by other roof materials.

The challenge was to create a white living room made entirely of flowers, and the project was completed using AI tools. Two different AI techniques were utilized, Stable Diffusion and Midjourney, and the comparison of the results was striking.

Another Midjourney exploration, this is an extension to the Silk & Stone series but this time I mixed my prompts with both Renaissance and Baroque style qualities. In addition, I generalised the silk draping to a more generic approach of any fabric, this was in hope that the AI would then treat the fabric in any direction and manner it saw fit rather than just draping them.

The current global creative scene is in an ongoing debate about artistic authenticity and ownership. However, I find a great freedom in using Ai text to image generators. The new tools are providing a medium of freedom. Freedom from physicality, from functionality and from modules.
