LIQUID FRICTIONS brings together the work of 15 artists from around the world who draw and extract from a myriad of present conditions and histories. Pre- sented within the context of a unique imaginary space designed by Italian architect Riccardo Fornoni, the space exists as a combination of ancient ruination, tra- ditional architectural forms and contemporary sensibili- ties.

This project is a conceptual design of a house located in a private cenote. The cenotes were sacred sites for the Mayans. They were considered symbols of life and death as they provided fresh water and were believed to be the gateway to the underworld.

We designed an all-timber structure with the realization of creating a beautiful but raw and simple but complex interior space defined by a rational structure of 48 columns (trusses). The trusses meet at the top in compression rings (35), all of which are connected to 34 circles (horizontal members), each one representing one year of Burning Man’s existence.

Casa Zante is a house designed in the Greek island Zante, Greece. The concept idea is a beautiful return to antiquity and incorporating all the natural elements into the interior that gives spaces a curated look as well as calming appeal.

In designing a design museum, we have aimed to create a place to celebrate the intersection between creativity and ingenuity of the human mind. Conceptually the practice of design arises from the tension between form and function, between tradition and innovation, it is the fusion between technique and curiosity, the recognition of ancient craftsmanship and the relentless quest for the discovery of new materials pushing the boundaries of what is deemed possible.
