The project is located in Huangmuchang Village on the outskirts of Beijing. It is a two-story brick-concrete building, originally used as residence and office. Atelier d’More was commissioned to renovate this run-down building into a boutique hotel.

I was traveling by car in Bali on October 2020, and I decided to stop in Kintamani. I was impressed by the view there. It was incredible. We tried to book a nice hotel or villa with a beautiful view. However, we could not find anything…I realized that there is not a single good hotel in Kintamani. Therefore, we stayed in some simple hotel. 

In Iran, exactly in the area of Ubaque, where the only references are nature and geography, we sought inspiration from the landscape and the dynamics of this wild environment. is more than just a hotel, it is a unique spatial experience, contained between two layers: landscape and architecture.

MASSLAB + AFRY Ark Studio won the Finnish Train Factory Mixed-Use Competition with the aim of developing a new urban landmark for the Pasila machine shop area in Helsinki.
