The project, located in one of the most affluent neighbourhoods of Delhi, sits in all its vastness, at the foothills of the Aravali Mountain range with sprawling greens surrounding an area of 4.7 acres. Design Ethics Architecture Studio was approached with the design assignment to build a farmhouse which was to be co-owned by two brothers and their parents.

Tucked away in Los Altos Hills, the aptly named Round House is a geometrically unique structure; one of a few similarly shaped homes built in California in the 60s. The clients fell in love with this quirky circular house and initially planned a modest remodel.

A private house was designed for the city of Sochi, Russia. The main thesis embedded in the concept and image of the house: Wholeness / Autopoiesis / Calligraphy; "A residential building reflecting content, aesthetics, natural structures." The living image opens gradually, seamless facades give the impression of a continuous change in the outlines and ephemerality of the image.

Rob Henry Architects: Situated on a leafy suburban site, the Ribbon House has been carefully wrapped around the existing established trees to enhance the indoor / outdoor connection. A mix of natural timber and white/black washed timber cladding reduces the scale of the two-storey form, peeling off in places, much like a ribbon on a box.

The 120 m² apartment inserted in a privileged location in Curitiba, in front of Praça da Espanha, was chosen by the couple of doctors who wanted a practical and convenient home for their intense work routine and also to host their children who live abroad when they returned to Brazil, which takes place at least twice a year.

The location of the project site in a forest area, surrounded by mountains on one side and a beautiful view of the sea on the other side, was the positive potential of this project.

Architects all around the world need to listen to the appeal for improved design solutions in this era of Big Data and rapidly evolving cultural norms. While we may not be planning for robotic flying cars or interstellar colonization, there are a few things that the architecture profession could focus on.

The Wakecrest Residence is a residential renovation exercising the deliberate peeling back and distilling of an original 1962 enclosure organized around a dramatic 180-degree view over the Pacific Ocean in Malibu California. Exposing and refinishing particular features of the existing structure such as the irregular-width wood ceiling boards lining the iconic pitched roof celebrate the memory of the former structure.
