Studio VARA is excited to further the reach of the studio's services beyond the Bay Area to the greater Tahoe region through their affiliation with Studio NeVARA, a Reno-based practice.

Studio NeVARA will offer design services that prioritize the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, which has been a hallmark of San Francisco-based firms award-winning work. Studio NeVARA are excited to provide these services for both high-end residences and multi-family developments in Renos rapidly evolving landscape.

Architect Graham Quinn will lead Studio NeVARA, drawing on his decades of experience in residential architecture. Quinns close collaboration with Studio VARAs founders, Maura Fernández Abernethy and Christopher Roach, has helped fuel the San Francisco-based firms growth over the past decade, and now this new expansion will serve as a springboard to bring his comprehensive understanding of residential design, the construction process, and collaboration with contractors and craftsmen to the greater Tahoe region.

Quinn notes, I am delighted to be leading this endeavor with Studio NeVARA. Our goal is to provide a deep knowledge of sustainability and share our core values and objectives honed over decades of practice to our clientsprojects in the greater Tahoe region.”

Studio NeVARAs recent work in the Tahoe region includes participation in the design showcase at Clear Creek Tahoe, a new luxury residential community. The studio was given the challenge of developing a dream home on a steeply sloping parcel of land to inspire potential buyers to envision what was possible. Studio NeVARA worked with the Clear Creek Design Review team to develop a modern mountain home that optimizes year-round indoor/outdoor living and responds to the extremes of an alpine climate.
