Announcing the Winners of the Drawing of the Year 2025

A Global Celebration of Creative Excellence

Archisource is proud to unveil the winners of the Drawing of the Year 2025, a prestigious international Awards series that recognise the most compelling visual representations in architecture, design, and the arts. Now in its sixth year, the Awards continue to spotlight outstanding creativity, inclusivity, and innovation across all forms of visual creation.

This year’s Awards attracted an unprecedented 7,131 entries from over 100 countries, showcasing a remarkable breadth of talent, from evocative hand-drawn illustrations and intricate architectural drawings to innovative digital visualisations. The Drawing of the Year Awards have firmly established themselves as a leading global platform for celebrating excellence in visual storytelling and creative communication.

The Drawing of the Year 2025 is in collaboration with D5 Render, HP, and Affinity creative software, the 2025 edition featured a record prize fund of £125,000, including full studio setups, 180-day PRO D5 Render licenses, and Affinity V2 Universal licenses awarded to the top 250 entrants. Entrants were recognised across six categories, each recognising diverse mediums, styles, and creative processes.

The 2025 expert judging panel included creative practitioners and industry experts each with unique knowledge and experience of architecture, design and image creation.

The winners were officially revealed at ‘London Creates’ , a major exhibition hosted by Archisource at The Truman Brewery in July 2025. The event celebrated the world of creativity and architecture, featuring works by top studios including RSHP and Foster + Partners, alongside a curation of the top entries from the Drawing of the Year Awards featuring emerging and established talents around the world. Each year, the Awards provide a unique lens into the evolving world of design communication, recognising everything from captivating hand sketches and concept-driven explorations to hyper-realistic visuals and technically masterful creations.

The winner of the Digital Drafting Award 2025 supported by Bentley’s MicroStation is Shing Hei Hui for the drawing titled ‘Concrete Plant Revitalization Isometric’, created whilst studying at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Ying Yu Wong was awarded the Digital Media Award 2025, for the drawing titled ‘Cultivate Rainforest Commons’ created whilst studying at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.

The Hand Drawn Award 2025 supported by LEUCHTTURM1917 and Winsor & Newton was awarded to Jimmy Wong for the drawing titled ‘Kowloon Walled City’.

Anna Pang of the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL received the Mixed Media Award 2025 for ‘The Tales of Liminality’.

The Visualisation Award 2025, supported by Trimble SketchUp, was awarded to Jack Oaten for the image titled ‘Mierceholts New National Timber Reserve - Close up’ created at Kingston University.

Thomas Biscaro was the winner of the Beyond Visualisation Award supported by Hayes Davidson for the drawing titled ‘Dystopia of the Omnicidal Landscape’ created at Université Laval, Canada.
