Architecture today transcends the boundaries of structure and function, evolving into an art form that resonates deeply with emotions and human experiences. This concept was central to The Art of Emotive Architecture project at New Bulgarian University. Aimed at inspiring students and young professionals, The Art of Emotive Architecture event at New Bulgarian University brought together a unique blend of education, innovation, and hands-on experience.Featuring an immersive exhibition, a captivating talk, and an intensive masterclass, the event was led by Miroslav Naskov, founder of Mind Design and Co-founder of Dom World.

The Event at a Glance:

1. The Exhibition: The event began with the Mind Design x Dom World exhibition, designed to inspire and captivate. Architectural models, visualizations, and interactive elements showcased how emotive architecture is realized in practice. A highlight of the exhibition was the VR experience of Oblivion House. This immersive experience allowed attendees to step inside the design, experiencing panoramic views and a seamless blend of architecture with nature. Through this virtual environment, students and young professionals discovered how education can become an adventure, engaging with architectural concepts firsthand.

Showcasing projects such as the Blossom Wave design series, the exhibition demonstrated how advanced technology and traditional craftsmanship can harmonize to create spaces that inspire and connect.

2. The Talk: Following the exhibition, Naskov delivered a compelling talk that delved into the philosophy of emotive architecture. Naskov shared his journey and insights on using architecture to foster emotional connections and well-being. The talk was designed to encourage students and young professionals to think beyond function and utility, and to envision architecture as a tool for creating meaningful, inspiring environments. This talk set the stage for the practical learning that would unfold in the masterclass.

3. The Masterclass: The five-day masterclass led by Miroslav Naskov, alongside Jan Wilk, The Art of Emotive Architecture, was crafted to teach participants a unique combination of handmade modeling, gamified experiences, and AI tools. This blend aimed to empower young architects with innovative techniques that bridge traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. Each day, attendees dove into sessions covering:

Handmade Modeling Techniques: Emphasizing the tactile and creative benefits of digital model-making as a foundation for understanding form and space.

Gamified Experiences: Introducing interactive, game-like environments to explore design in a more immersive and engaging way, enabling students to experience architecture from new perspectives.

AI-Enhanced Tools: Demonstrating how AI can enhance the design process, from concept development to advanced visualizations, allowing young architects to push creative boundaries.

Empowering the Next Generation The event brought together a diverse audience of students and young professionals, all eager to learn and grow in the field of architecture. "Seeing so many passionate minds reinforces the power of collaboration and education in shaping the future of design,” Naskov noted. The event served as both an inspiration and a practical guide, empowering participants to think creatively and critically about their roles in the architecture industry.

Conclusion: The Art of Emotive Architecture event at New Bulgarian University offered students and young professionals a transformative experience. Combining an immersive exhibition, an inspiring talk, and a hands-on masterclass, the event highlighted the future of architecture as a medium for connection, well-being, and inspiration.
