The prestigious Asia Architecture Design Awards (AADA) 2024 culminated in a spectacular Winner’s Night held at the SO/Bangkok. This grand event, hosted by the Asia Awards Organization, recognized and celebrated the groundbreaking and innovative projects that have significantly contributed to the fields of architecture and interior design in Asia.
Building on the success of 2023, this year’s AADA focuses on "Emerging Asia," celebrating the fusion of tradition and innovation across the continent. This theme symbolizes Asia’s growing influence in shaping the world’s built environment and honors the artistry of architecture.
The 2024 awards span six disciplines and 30 award categories. These accolades are highly coveted by industry professionals and organizations demonstrating exceptional excellence. Submissions were accepted starting in August 2023 and underwent a rigorous preliminary selection process, culminating in the announcement of the shortlist. The judging panel, consisting of 20 distinguished judges from diverse backgrounds, including design professionals, esteemed academics, and influential social advocates from countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Italy, and the UAE, ensured a transparent and thorough evaluation process.
This year saw an increased number of entries compared to 2023, with over 1,500 registered accounts on the official website and more than 606 submitted projects, reflecting heightened competition and growing interest in the awards. The increase in entries also marked an improvement in quality, with new countries and regions, including Japan and China, joining the awards.
In addition to the highly competitive categories like Commercial Building Architecture Design, Best Residential Architecture Design, and Best F&B Interior Design, this year introduces a new category: 2024 Asia’s Best Conceptual Architecture/Interior Design (concept and in-progress projects). This new category has witnessed a surge in entries, highlighting the significant demand for innovative ideas and the importance of recognizing these concepts as foundational steps towards realizing future projects.
The Winner's night was thoughtfully divided into four sections, each focusing on distinct aspects of design and architecture. The evening commenced with "Furniture Design for an Emerging Asia," honoring winners who have excelled in various disciplines of furniture design.
The second section, "Design for Liveable Cities," recognized architects and designers who have redefined urban living. This part of the event highlighted projects that enhance the quality of life in cities through sustainable and thoughtful design.
The third section, "Connecting People Through Interior Design," celebrated the transformative power of interior design in creating spaces that foster connection and well-being.
The final section, "Emerging Asian Architecture, Interior Design & Culture," honored firms that have demonstrated exceptional innovation and creativity in the realms of architecture and interior design, contributing to the cultural and aesthetic landscape of Asia.
Last year's awards set a high benchmark, showcasing projects that pushed the boundaries of design and creativity. The 2024 ceremony has upheld and elevated this standard, highlighting ongoing evolution and innovation within the industry.

The 2025 awards span six disciplines and 30 award categories, including three new categories: Best Furniture Design, Best New Firm In Architecture Design and Best New Firm In Interior Design.
Additionally, a brand new award has been introduced within the AADA system – the 2025 ASIA ARCHITECTURE DESIGN AWARDS - STUDENT LEAGUE. This prestigious competition provides a unique platform for aspiring architects and designers to showcase their talent, creativity, and innovation. By participating, students can demonstrate their skills and imagination while connecting with industry leaders, potential mentors, and like-minded peers. There are 10 categories in this competition.
